So true. A very emotional ending.

This game isn't immersive, it sucks you in and drags your heart down to the deepest layer of the abyss. To this day if I hear music from it or that contains elements from it I stop in my tracks and focus on the sounds. It torments me to this day. Eventually I may get a tattoo of the symbol of ...

This is definitely a 2 or 3x playing experience. In the beginning of my first time through I kept thinking "Where's my sword? Where's my ARMOR!?" I also had Morte doing all of my fighting because I was weak. It's good to take a break to grab a different perspective. Torment is an immersive ...

I believe an in-game explanation involves the manner of your death. The more traumatic the death the greater chance of loosing yourself.

Star Trek rules also apply: The Enterprise moves at the speed of a plot. :p

With the multi CD version I've had the a disc 2 problem and had to reinstall the game. Maybe you could try to copy all of the CDs onto your C drive and install from there. My CD/DVD is goofy right now and I have to copy them in safe mode to my desktop and install in regular mode. It takes a lot of ...

Well you can be a blood war mercenary. Look at the Godsmen crafting that huge laser. You can still take part if you want but if you die you may be forced to.

Great conversation guys. Good to see people still talking about this.

So no one has simply written a book about their game? Most of the book is already written and I've thought of doing so for several games. The problem is that outside the game text (without the visuals) I'd be a boring author.

Is there a Fan Fiction thread?

What is O? He's the guy that got me hooked on this game (among other things later). The concept of a universal or divine (I forget which) alphabet he introduced evoked images of ancient days when letters (runes) had the power of words, or more.

Well it’s good that you liked *some* parts of it, but there are others you’re just not understanding.

Your character is VERY capable of dying permanently. Piss off the lady of Pain, or commit a number of boneheaded moves and it’s “revert to saved.” You also have to remember that your companions ...

Well, it sounds like you described the perfect cult game :p . I sympathize with your feelings. It took me one try thru the game before I started to like it. It's such a radical departure from the norm and I didn't know quite how to enjoy it. I spent more time trying to figure the game out then I did ...

Ignus is a must have if you want to be a mage. I couldn't believe how many experience points and spells I learned from him. I don't like him much either which is why last time I just used him for his goodies . As Far as Nordrom's "cuteness", I guess his nickname could be BOB. But as I was ...

My party: I wouldn't go anywhere without the skull. I am kind of odd so I like the Gith, it gives you a chance to do some real good and make up for a past incarnation; that and he gives me the three fighter front early on. Annah because she's a hottie. Grace is mostly around because she's a healer ...
