i'm not sure, to be honest. women can control it easier, i do know that much. it think this might be another casse of nature verses nurture. you'd be correct in saying that how the individual copes with the curse is part of it.
if he has help controling it, say from someone who already can, who ...

this could be my fault. mystra only gave the unborn child to the drow. but gave isnt quite the right word. the child was placed in her womb, with her permission.

logiacaly? no offence ment, but i fail to follow your logic. okay, netheril was powerful, but how can he be more powerful than a person who call dismantle spells as they are being cast at him without batting an eyelid? the Magister is, officaly, the most powerful wizard in the realms.

new gods? well, i think the best way, IMHO would be to add a quasi power, possibly in service to an already esstablished god. examples include the red knight, in service to Tempus, or Jergal, the Seneschal of Bone Castle, who serves who-ever rules the land of the dead.

another way would be to have ...

that last bit, about being a full were wolf or not a were wolf, i'm not too sure if i agree. we know that different people have different amounts of control over there transformation. this allows some to change only slightly, into the "classic" were wolf form, a complete wolf, and when ever they ...
