This is a great game except for the SAVE option which is NONEXISTANT.
Does anyone know how to get through the wooden gate for the Aetherial quest from Homestead? I am stuck.

I cannot continue with the Get Junior Quest because I cannot talk to Vernon Roche.
Did I miss something or is there a bug. I am playing on a PC. Might I add that this an awesome game.
I hope that I do not have to start the game over again.

Thank you all for reading my post. I have found out that just clearing out the whole first part of the crypt finished the quest. I went back to the quest giver, told him the results and that ended the quest.

Great game, so far!
I have a couple of questions, though.
I am having a hard time lockpicking chests even though I have enough skill to do so. The lower chests I can open but the higher chests I cannot pick (50/50 or less). What am I missing?
Also, can someone tell me the best way to kill all 8 ...

I bought the game and just installed it today. I am having a problem right from jump. Thanks for the information about DLC's. I already knew about them but I do not buy and download from the Internet. I feel that I already bought the game and will not spend any more money for add-ons. Maybe if they were free then that's OK.

Has anyone been in this place to retrieve a sword for the blacksmith in Windhelm? I am at a pillar puzzle and have set them per the Prima strategy guide but the gate opposite does not open. Have I done something wrong? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

I installed The Witcher 2. After activation key entered in, the game said "Checking for Updates." After that said "Verifyiung Patcher." Does that then keeps doing it over and over again, for hours. Can someone tell me how to resolve this problem?
