Hi DesR85,

I wonder if the requirements are different in the US-version of the game?

Written on the Box of my german version are the following requirements:

Minimum:

Windows 2000/XP/XP64, 1024 MB RAM, Intel Pentium 4 / AMD CPU 2 GHz or similar, Videocard: Direct3D compatible Videocard with ...

Hi there,

is combat easier to handle than in previous games
I found combat not difficult in the previous games but this one is different. You have more possibilitys: You can keep a block, you can use a shield, you can fight a short hit out of a block, you can make short, less efficient hits ...

Hi there,

I play it on a Pentium 4 - 2.6 GHZ, with a minimum of ram and video card (1 GB RAM, 128 MB Videocard, Shader 1.4) and with the lowest video setting the performance of the game is nearly good. With higher detail it's nearly unplayable.

Best wishes

Hiho,

I am playing it since 12th of October (Amazon.de was delivering it one day before the official release-date) and I am deeply impressed.
The fights seem to be more realistic and there are more already fightable enemies at the begin of the game.
Although I am playing at lowest detail since my ...

Hi Magrus,

the longer I think about that reincarnation-stuff the less I like it.
Of course, it will be YOUR system and I guess lots of people would like the Idea of not having to make a new char after dying but I can't see the practical use.

Let me explain, why I think that way, so you can follow ...

Hi Pellinore,

the weight of goldcoins depends on their worth, I think. Bigger coins are worth more but heavyer while smaller goldcoins are worth less but lighter.
A good way might be to do it as they did in former times: Some things are worth their weight in gold, others are worth perhaps a tenth ...

Hello Pellinore,

I fully agree with your opinion about weapons and armour. Fantasy ok but there are subjects which should be closer to reality than others.

Another point is the weight people are allowed to carry around with them especially with gold coins ;-)
I remember a master who told me, I ...

Hello Airam,

the patches are as far as I know not OS-specific but depending on your game-version.
Which version of the game do you own?

Best wishes

Hi,

I sure don't want to be a spoilsport but...

Not only that, we are incorporating reincarnation as a standard part of our game, [...] This allows you to carry on the knowledge you have gained (I. E. experience in a vocation) to your next life, and start a character as a new race, but with all ...

Hey Hill,

thats the point... We Germans are ALL insane. *hrrhrrhrr*

No, really, I thougt I'd proven you that German and English is nearly the same.
Or should I continue my list of similar vocabulary? ;)

And: Think of Gothic IV or V (or L or C...) It would last even longer to see them translated ...

Last time it happened when I wrote my posting in the Pen&Paper section.
Maybe I forgot to take the cookie when I logged in. Usually I mark the Cookie-box but sometimes I forget about it. Most Forums I write in set the cookies automatically when logging in.
I use Mozilla Firefox, the one and only *g ...

@xandax: I tried both, doesn't make a difference.

@fable: I can't tell after what time it happens but when I stay idle for maybe half an hour I have to log in again. But only on THIS board. Other Forums also need cookies and they keep there even if I am idle for hours or days... Even if I shut down ...

I don't think it's a browser-specific cookie-problem, as it only happens when I write longer postings.
When I told Hill-Shatar in a PM about this problem he said that it also happens to him from time to time.
And: It only happens here to me. In other forums I stay logged in for days when I forget ...

Auto log-out :-(

I hope it's okay to say that...

For me as a German with only a few years of low-quality English-lessons at school it is very difficult to write a PM or reply on a thread in the given time.
I have to translate everything I want to tell you in a foreign language and many things one can't translate 1 ...

When I imagine I was the GM and there were 13 People, it would be too much for me, too. BUT: I'd never kill any char of my group deliberately. There are other, more elegant ways to resize the group than putting lethal traps on every second step they take...
I guess your GM had not much experience ...

Ah, OK, Thanks.
I guess he has to wait then, because he will - again - get my pc when my granddad buys himself a new one as I "inherit" his old one.
We always do that pc-trading... works very fine, as my granddad always buys a new high-end PC after one or two years. The two year old "snails" as my ...

Black&White(1) chrashing while loading - @mod: please move to tech support. thx.

Yeah, I guess 7 Players + 1 GM seems to be the absolute maximum to me.
It is right that finding appointments which suite everyone becomes more difficult with more people but the good thing about bigger groups is, that the GM can split it up into two (or more) independent acting parts for a couple ...
