For my fighter builds I select NEITHER great cleave or whirlwind attack.

I'll start of with why great cleave sucks:

From my experience you almost never actually get to make use of this feat. You usually stop at - cleave. So lets say you finish off an enemy, you of course then cleave right through ...
Hey, wait a minute. What good is putting points in a skill like Tumble if I'm likely going to be wearing armor with AC penalties around -6? Since it's a cross-class skill, too, I'm really starting to think that's not a good idea.
As far as I remember in NwN your raw ...
Well, don't forget, a pally's Cha bonus is also added to their saving throws.
I haven't forgotten :)

Even with the paladin/CoT bonues to saves, you will still fail saving throws, especially reflex.

Also just out of curiosity: Why use a heavy xbow and not a longbow ...

For a melee fighter, toughness comes to mind. Do you use a backup bow from time to time? You could take some archery feats for your CoT bonus feats every two levels, blind fight maybe too. Maybe pick up weapon focus in a one handed back up weapon in case you need to use a shield from time to time ...
Here are my current feats:
- Weapon Focus (Greatsword) (took that at first level; WF is a requirement for Champion of Torm)
- Power Attack
- Cleave
- Great Cleave
- Improved Critical (Greatsword)
I really hate to be a nitpick but IMO Great Cleave is useless in the OC ...

If you are planning to make a rogue character as your character, maximize your search skill for sure. In SoU and HotU this will allow you to see the hidden doors very easily. Note that in SoU if you hire a rogue like Dorna, her search skill will not uncover hidden things for you (it was not ...

2) As for the new NPCs (from SoU?), I was curious what Dorna Trapseeker was like, alignment-, level- and stat-wise. I hear she's a rogue/cleric.
Dorna starts as a Rogue 1. If you do not specify she will multiclass to cleric. Personally I think a rogue/cleric is a ...

In the OC and HoTU yes sell them. If you are playing SoU keep your phenalope, aventurine, fluorspar and amethyst if you want to make focus crystals. In HoTU you may also come across some very valuable Black Pearls which might just have a special use ;)

By cap do you mean level 10 RDD? You get a CHA ability score increase of +2, pretty good for a sorc IMO. Matter of fact thats the best level of RDD to get :)

In console, no quotes:

"DebugMode 1"

"dm_giveXP -20000" (click yourself)

"DebugMode 0"

will subtract 20000 experience for example

Both are two handed martial, slashing weapons so equal there.

Greatsword: damage: 2d6 = 2-12 damage
Greataxe: damage: 1d12 = 1-12 damage

So the sword actually has better damage.

The crit range on the sword is 19-20 with a 2 multiplier, the axe crits on 20 but with a 3 multiplier.

So in ...

For Fighter/Sorc/RDD I'd start out as the fighter as well for exactly the reasons mr_sir mentioned and also because there really is no good tank henchmen in the beginning of SoU. The benefit of ...

I agree, for the price you can get the set of the origional game with the expansions today, its worth it. I couldn't imagine playing NwN without the expansions they really do enhance the experience. My biggest complaint about the NwN series is not being able to create a full party but if you can get ...

I'm not certain but I think the previous poster meant RDD/sorc since a prerequisite for RDD is at least one level in bard or sorc. So the more common build is something like x Sorc / 10 RDD. If I were to make that build I'd do something like Sorc 10-15 / RDD 10 / Fighter x, for a heavy magic ...

I haven't planned a character for multiplayer but I know that using your NwN OC character won't be a good idea since you developed that character based on a single player environment. Alot of planning is required for a multiplayer powergaming character.

I think I will try a Human Fighter 26 / Bard ...

There is in fact a level cap for your henchmen but it does not change every chapter, its fixed at 14 as was observed here. I had the same problem in Luskan with Tomi. You can test this using the dm_givelevel command in all the chapters, at least with Tomi, Linu and the ...
