Awesome mods

Wow, I haven't touched Oblivion since it first came out and the sheer number and quality of mods is just amazing!

My favorite mod is kind of a tie between The Lost Spires and Vilja.

These two are so good that they should be sold. I would easily pay for both of them and they are far far ...

That is a tough question, because it depends on how you play the game. Are you roleplaying, powergaming, or something else? A build is generally designed to accomplish something, otherwise why fuss over it? Morals also may factor heavily into this.

This question is also impacted by any mods you ...

Console Fun

I've finished playing DAO every legit way possible and am looking for more enjoyment since I love playing, so I started messing around with the console.

Some of the fun things I've tried:

*Playing the Noble Human campaign as a Mage.
*Playing as a Warogue.
*Giving all my party members ranger pets ...

What I'm thinking is that it may be worth it to take a single level of Arcane Warrior to use the armor and perhaps use Wade's Superior Dragonscale (since with a full set it gives only five to fatigue) and then use either a staff or a shield with NO weapon. This way, your character has a high armor ...

I found that Miasma was sufficient for everything except Nightmare difficulty. Of course, you should have your AW Combat Magic buff and its passives up and running too, although on lower difficulties (Easy) even this wasn't needed because Miasma was powerful enough by itself. You may be forced to ...

I've been playing an Arcane Mage for awhile now & I've come up with a few tips/observations:

*The Arcane mage is able to cast some spells without sheathing its melee weapon. One example is Crushing Prison, probably the best spell in the game. You don't want to be caught with your hand in your ...

Bypassing Party Members

I know that if you don't collect Sten & Leliana in Lothering, that you will never get them at all in that runthrough.

Given that scenario, how about Wynne?

Normally, I've always had her be part of my party, but I'm starting a new game as a mage/healer, so she is redundant and thus I don't need her ...

Mage Musings

The mage simply rocks.

I throw down an Affliction Hex, then Storm of the Century and..... :p

The power is totally corrupting. Once you have it--its hard to give it up.

You cackle and laugh and whistle in amazement. (It's hard though to be too awesome when your own robe is on fire)

Enemies that ...

If you are considering Dual Wield, you might want to also consider playing as a Rogue. (Especially if there is any chance that you might use a bow/xbow as a secondary weapon setup to deal with ranged threats)

As a Rogue, you'll primarily be increasing dex and cunning, with some points in will and ...

Yes you can save anything you want (skill, attribute and talent points) to use later. A little plus sign will show up next to your character until everything has been assigned. Ditto for party members.

What's really important is that your class level still goes up even if you don't assign anything ...

Cross Class Specializations

I wonder how effective it would be to give your character a specialization outside their class? (Example: Giving a mage say Champion/War Cries chain or Bard/Songs chain for their 2nd specialization)

I don't see why you couldn't do this. Has anyone tried it?

Thoughts/Opinions on feasibility of ...

Unlimited Experience (Spoilers)

This exploit will almost certainly be corrected in a future patch by Bioware, but for those of you who like to power game and don't want to spend a lot time determining what skills/talents/attributes work to optimize a build nor wasting a lot of time doing it because its tedious or whatever--then ...

First, let me apologize to you. I can't believe that you've not gone through the sewers, yet have leveled your character up to 103. That is well, just awesome! I thought you were a noob and therefor was trying to gently suggest in an earlier post that you needed to level your character ...

Marauder Class Question

Is it possible to obtain Heavy Armor and Heavy Weapons through the Marauder class? I ask this because Gamebanshe's class area shows that the Marauder class allows for Heavy Weapons as a new skill, but doesn't mention the other two, yet the Deathlord's class info on the same site states that its new ...

Yes. You should still be able to be a Battlemage. First, you need to join the Mage Guild, perform the initation quest and then choose and perform the secondary tier quest for the Battlemage once the initiation quest is completed & the secondary ...

Samurai Ascension Question

I have DLCE v1.5. I am working on an Adept/Fighter/Paladin/Samurai build and want to know if you have to do the initiation quest (steal the fire drake egg?) for the House of Tiger before you can do the Samurai quest (kill Ashuga) in the woods between Fargrove and Arindale for the same House of Tiger.
