I was kind of forced to take Nalia, instead of Aerie because i dumped Yoshimo or any other thief (the just plain suck)
But i would recommend Edwin for great summoning fun. Even more if your party is neutral/evil like mine

Shadow Dragon: Let someone from your party (Aerie, Nalia or another mage) cast lower resistance as much as possible. The dragon won't attack you, unless your primary character is a mage and he casts it.

I've searched the net a zillion times but i just can't find a decent patch for BG to play IP 2 IP multiplayer

I just started a new multiplayer game with a friend (Starting from the beginning with brand new characters - default XP).
