If this is Fable TLC then you might not have the book "Creatures of the North". it's found right at the entrance of the northern foothills. I had the same problem and finally found the book, it's off to the left next to a skeleton.

In Fable TLC for XBOX you can sell your specials to the arms dealer in snowspire.

That ticked me off!! i was real evil and i'd have to wear bright will user gear and i had to say nice things to him. it would take me a couple minutes of flirting to buy from him.

I've found that slow time maxed takes care of anything it's ridiculous. but without the hardest things are rock and ice trolls and the damn assassins!!!! the punks can swing their swords!

Has anyone found any good use for the Amethyst Gem? Can you sell it anywhere or does it help you in any way?

Man, I hope the next version of Fable is harder. I like swords like Avo's Tear and the Sword of Aeons, quick and sweet. Two things: you have to sacrifice the two hired-hands in oakvale and the temple of avo. sacrifice them as close as you can to midnight. BUT it's a lot easier to be virtous when sacrificing them. What's the coolest outfit for really good Heros and really bad Heros? My favorite is my Flaming Ninja outfit. It's the assassin outfit plus the bandit bandana and he's really evil so the red eyes and the flaming earth is sweet!

Yes that was awesome! making your own ninja suit is pretty funny. it's the assassin outfit plus the bandit bandana, it's the sweetest thing when u'r evil b/c you become the Flaming Ninja.

As a melee guy, I got to have:
1) Slow time
2) Physical shield
3) and Berserk, use Berserk and a heavy weapon bc your character will wield it like it was a light weapon.

A really good thing to focus on, whether you're a will user or a melee guy, is your bow. Master Multi-arrow, and get skorm's bow ...

A very useful tool when fighting in the Arena is having a Master weapon, either the Master Katana or the Master Longsword (they have to have three Augmentation slots).
