This was a problem by me with the anti-copy protection. The only solution I found was to install a no-cd crack. don't forget to copy the dll's to the correct map. I think you could even do without the cracked exe, just the cracked vampire.dll should work.

Well i googled on it and i find people with the same problem, they al seem to have an dual core or an ht processor, unfortunately i didn't find any solution. Activision doesn't give much support . They keep revering to drivers etc. By the way the installation was succesfull the first time.

Nope, i only got more errors while reinstalling, it couldn't find some mp3 files. By the way can you give me the excact link to the excact thread, cause the search enginge seems to be down

I tried safe mode.
Hyper threading means that there is one virtual processor and one real, similar to dual core? I will take an look.

Video drivers are always up to date, the same for the rest.

My pentium is an Hyperthreading, is that dualcore. It runs halflife 2 fine by the way.

I bought this game yesterday, and i can't get it to play. Whenever i press new game, the loading screen appears for a few seconds and the game crashes to the desktop. I have the game patched to 1.2
My specs:
P4 3 gig
1024 MB ram
6200 se/tc with 256 mb of video ram

Does anyone have an solution ...
