eh, well the point was that I was playing from the beginning with no cheats (or cheese i.e., web/c.kill) right out of prison.

Most of what you guys suggested has no 'thought' behind it, no real strategy, and no challenge. Of course I can edit in a lvl 20 sorc and solo the place--but that isn't much ...

The angry dwarf group at waukeen's

After several tries, I came up with a strategy to get all the loot off of these disrespectful NPCs without using traps. I used only Jeihra, and my F/M/T straight out of prison (ok I stole some scrolls in town--but that's it).

1. Go adv invis and pick-pocket everything you can from all NPCs in the ...

I have a sickness that causes me to constantly restart the game until I find the ultimate character to take the distance (no cheats). My latest, and I think last, edition is elf F/M/T.

Because he has all the basic thieving abilities, I don't need Imoen or Yoshi from the beginning. Because he can ...

Thorin, thanks for your complete account, I guess I meant to say, Drizzt has always been a ranger since he's been 'topside'. Since there's no "dual-class" rules that he fits into based on D&D, I've always seen him portrayed as his last class--ranger.

I'm almost certain that Fighter's Handbook 2nd ed. has the rules I'm talking about. I don't have them here, but I remember the tables quite well.

If you didn't like Icewind Dale, you didn't like it. It's such an easy read, and the books can be found used, I wouldn't tell someone it's not "worth ...

Drizzt was always a ranger, hence the dual-weapons. He "became" a ranger in like the second book. I think Artemis is closer to swashbuckler than anything else because of his dual-weapon use and his theiving abilities, but he never backstabs per se. But he could be a fighter/thief or fighter of ...

Has anyone tried to get 12 attacks per round using the neutral cleric's ability? Of course you'd have to dual from cleric to fighter, but you could level passed cleric fairly quick.

Even in D&D, light armor (read magical) provides superior protection without encumbering movement. If you read the advanced 2nd rules and 3rd too I think, normal plate caps your dex so you basically don't get a dex adjustment for AC.

Having magical leather or elven chain is much better (especially ...

Artemis is human, but he was Drizzt's equal in battle. It makes sense that his str would be the same as Drizzt. However, it was hinted that he was higher level than Drizzt (only way to make up for Drizzt's insane Dex).

I agree that other mages would/should have "normal" str. 13 is even a little on ...
