Is there ever an option to rat-out the assasins guild?? I mean like be the goody goody and turn them in??

Okay... someone else posted about this problem, but they just wanted to quit the quest. I want to actually complete it.

The problem is, when I sneak into the room and steal the ring out of her jewelry box, nothing happens... no quest update, or anything like that. So I tried saving and going back ...

With some things in this game I've found you just have to be in the right place at the right time -- literally. I have noticed that standing, sitting, sneaking, etc in the exactly correct posstion tends to activate the next move. Try re-reading your stuff. Maybe your supposed to ...

The countess in Chorral doesnt want anyone who isnt "famous" living in her town. So you have to have lots of fame. I, personally, still dont have enough, which stinks.
Then again, I dont have enough money, either.

I have spent like 2 hours looking through every box and everything. I went to the kitchen and grabbed everything on all the shelves. I never would have guess ed to activate the rug!! How in the world was I supposed to figure that one out!?

Ok, there's a green bush (no flowers) right next to where they are standing, and on sneak, it shows they can see you entirely. My wife even walked up right next to them trying out locations (without being on sneak!) and that was the right spot, and they started talking.
