In battle?

Stoneskin, Fireball, Magic Missile, Haste and Acid Arrows. Perfect spells for the run of the mill fight. Perhaps an Elemental or a Skeleton warrior or two.

In a big battle its usually Stoneskin, Mirror Image, Remove Fear, Haste, Spellturning(of some sort)before the battle and then as an ...

WRONG.

To deal with the Boneswords you summon up your own little army of Mordekainens swords(2 or 3). The Mordekainens swords can't hurt the boneswords. But the opposite is true as well. Just get the Mordekainens sword to occupy all his boneswords and you are free to go after the Ravager without ...

Personally I had only 1 weapon that had any effect on them. The 5+ Mace Fist of Gloomfrost.
I havn't tried with piercing damage though.

BUT!!! Lance of Disruption can take them out!!!
The insane amount of crushing damage will have a pretty good result.
But since they give only pathetic exp and no ...

Personally I would recommend

1. Spend your first points in Bow and Katana.

Then (if playing ToB)spend some cash on proficiency in Dual wielding.

Can you say Celestial Fury and Hindos Doom. Immunity towards Deathmagic, A Greater Restore in your pocket and some dam nifty katanas!!! Maximum ...

A couple of things.

First of all. A backstab should be possible with any weapon.
A backstab just represents a strike where the enemy is completely unprepared and has No idea that you are putting that blade in him.
Even with a frigging two-hander. I can just picture my thief sneaking up behind my ...

Nope, some classes just doesn't work alone...but are very powerful as a compliment. For example I don't think that I could have gone through it all soloing as a druid.

Laenor: Well, I havn't alot of insight into the depths of the game mechanisms of backstabbing(wonders if all that extra damage from the staff is actually multiplied). But if I can do it with just one blade and Str24 I can get 175 damage from a backstab with Celestial fury(plus stunning effects). If ...

Laenor: Dual wielded katanas isn't bad either. Celelstial Fury and Hindo's Doom+4 give you a pretty neat combination.

Immunity towards death magic, 10% magical resistance as well as two VERY lethal weapons. Especially since the 12 extra damage isn't multiplied by backstabs.

Laenor: its remarkable what a single round of assassinate can do. I have taken down dragons to half their health with a single round of assassinate and melissan tasted a combo of assassination and traps. You assassinate her in the first battle. Lay out enough traps to take out her the seconds time ...

OK, as a die-hard Tolkien fanatic I have a few(ok, MANY) points that I wish to make.

Starting of with Frodo.

Frodo is definitly a bard. He has great lore skill(compared to anyone but Elrond and Gandalf). He is interested in history, can speak and read elvish, knows quite alot about maps etc etc ...
