I'm in the lower level of the tower ruins (where the wizard with the quasit lives). In this section there is a secret door to the temple -however, I can't detect it, even though my thief has 7 ranks of search.

What can I do?

I've applied patch #3, but the NPCs still take most of the treasure and get over-loaded.

I'll have to wait for Melany to die in order to get the magic scale off of her!

I tried the Tailor -but it didn't work.

You think they would have tested this before releasing the game!

well I managed to get by the Tower Ruins and I checked what I was rolling.

Roughly 60% of the time, my roll is under a 10. This was made worse by the witches casting "bane" on my characters.

Bless and Aid helped a lot.

the game is hopelessly broken.

When I activate the roll screen, it just tells me if I hit or miss, not what I roll.

I can't get by the broken tower because I simply can't hit anyone. If I miss once, the game goes into some kind of statistical reduction, where my chance of hitting is reduced every ...

I'm 4th level now, but my fighters NEVER hit on more than 10% of their attacks. Not even if I have proficiency, bull's strength, etc.

Trip attack NEVER works.

some monsters attack with virtually 100% accuracy (think Hill Giant)

I picked up the 1st level Druid Melany by having one of my characters marry her, but now I have a big problem.
