Wraith, do you mean Critical Threat or Critical Hit?

The +3 AB in your example is a good question depending on which you mean. Aerich, when you roll a natural 20, you score a critical threat . The computer then rolls another D20, and if it is higher than the opponents AC, you score a critical hit ...

1)
Firstly, having only one monk level will only give you 2 things - Evasion and WIS bonus to AC. Ignore everything else about the monk's abilities - including the unarmed fighting - for a single monk level.

Secondly, cleric domains. I see them as thus:
Battleguard of Tempus:
1) for newbie ...

One amusing note - I killed Oria before smashing the mirror that releases all those annoying Talismen. I did not turn off the Inner Sanctum mode - and viola! I killed most of them without even getting attacked! One of the talismen did move towards the games room to switch off this mode, but this ...

This often happens to me - it is pretty difficult to avoid this in HoF mode!

Easiest way to fix this is using the cheat console:

ctrlaltdelete:SetGlobal("AR5101_MONSTERS_DEAD","GLOBAL",1)

(I even have this written down, because those jellies won't die quick enough!)

For me the distribution in 3d6 rolls...

Er... IWD2 does not use 3d6 rolls, but uses a quasi-point-buy system. The Dungeon Masters Book also shows 9 other methods of stat allocation. The 2 point buy systems set starting stats at 8 - just like the NWN "series". Although your arguments for ...

Character 1 will now be a Deep Gnome. I'm very interested in haveing an AC 72 decoy type, and the Drow can't reach that.

Yes they can.

Oh yes Klorox, if you cannot seem to get through the game, you can:
1) Save the game
2) Note down total party XP
3) Note down all the items they have
4) Get the ...

Character 1:
Male Drow Fighter4/Rogue3/Barbarian3/Wizard20 (Currently Rogue 2/Barbarian1/Fighter2)

I had a similar-but-different character in a 2-drow party:
Female Drow Fighter 4 / Rogue 3 / Monk 3 / Demarch of Mask 20

She was a WIS orientated, damaging tank, with a high AC. By a bit of ...

As far as I can tell, only short sword and daggers can be used with Weapon Finesse. The same goes for 2-weapon fighting, when you want minimum penalties for wielding a light, off-hand weapon.

I've worked that you could make your own off-hand bludgeoning weapons, but they are limited to x2 critical ...

That is not totally true...

TEST - Two Tymora's Loop rings (+3 luck each = +6 luck total) on a character wielding a short sword. The sword will ALWAYS do 6 damage (on a d6 roll).
However, if the sword does "an extra" +1d6 fire damage, for example, luck will NOT cause 6 fire damage. It remains 1-6 ...

"Best" certainly is subjective - would a sword that did 1 point of damage, but had a 50% chance of an instant kill be "better" than a sword that did 50 damage per hit?

For example, one of the best swords I have found in normal mode is "Death's Bane" - it heals d4 points per hit. Great for HoF mode ...

I have use Weapon Finesse/Dual Wielding decoys.

When I have done this, they have usually had a Monk level thrown in. Without the Monk level, I usually carry a shield instead. Dual-wielding works for this kind of decoy - they won't cause much damage, but the high DEX and Weapon Finesse will cause ...

Hey crucis, if you are making some items, try and make "Duergar forged Goggles" (I'm thinking of the Jan Jansen portrait!) which gives Immunity to Day Blindness - it might increase the chances of someone actually playing the game with this race!
(Making this for a Drow would make an already powerful ...

If you have NearInfinity, you can search for CheckSkill, CheckSkillGT and CheckSkillLT in every DLG file.

I remember doing this a while ago - I think 17 is the maximum for one of the diplomatic skills. Remember though, if it is 17, you won't need to put his many points in it, as your CHA bonus ...

Animal Companions.

I looked into "Find Familiar" as a spell to implement a while ago. The obvious place to look was in the Drider caves with the Golem you activate. This is the only "companion" in IWD2 (to my mind) that travels between areas with you.
So you need to look at 53PCGLM1.BCS to start ...

Well, you have to choose what spells you want - you don't need that many. Just write a short list down and get all the schools for them. By a process of elimination, you can narrow down the wizard school you want.

Say you really want Grease, Web, Fireball, Vitriolic Sphere, Chaos, Shades and Finger ...

If you like your Summon Monster spells though, this is not the correct school for you. As such, it depends ...

I've tried more or less exactly the same character...
It came from JUPP (read about Druids or Bards in this document - you'll see Tiefling Rogue 2 / Druid 14 / Bard 14)
