THats sorted it. Thanks everyone for your responses, particularly Stworca who was ridiculously quick to reply, and helpful with it.

I will miss running round looking like a drow but at least I get to carry on playing!

cheers

Sorry no good, I speak to adalon, she tries to turn me into a drow and I get the assertion failure. I've never had a problem at this point before so I assume its a mod issue.
Currently got Rogue Rebalancing, Divine Remix, Item Upgrade, sola and valen

I've looked across the documentation and can't ...

Help! Assertion Failure.

Having reinstalled BG2 and pushed through chapters 2 and 3 that I have played so, so many times before I have reached the underdark only to be met by an assertion failure.

Can anyone help me out with a saved game in the elven camp to hopefully bypass this problem? I don't know if it matters but I ...

Items when wildshaped

Having read the updated jupp I've been wondering about the Rogue2/Bardx/Druidy character that is mentioned. Having started to play one and enjoying the combination of loads of skill points with animal physical stats and singing I started wondering which items apply whilst in animal form. Obviously ...

New game - different party

I think I might pull out BG2 again for another run from dungeon-be-gone to ToB, been a while and I fancy doing something a bit different to the parties I've completed the game with previously. I think I've got the ideas for the party sorted out I was just wondering if anyone could suggest ideas for ...

There's a mod available which enables you to take an approximation to a 3rd edition Drow and apply it to your BG2 Elf character. Do a search for BG2 Subrace Mod on google and you should find it.

That gives you the scaleable SR, note it also gives you a 20% xp penalty IIRC

hope that helps

[HoW] Can a druid really replace a wizard?

Evening all

First off I guess a Happy New Year is in order. So there it was. Anyway, I completed IWD when it first came out years ago without add-ons when I borrowed it from a friend. Since then I've played through BG1 and 2 and IWD2 so many times I've become a bit bored with them. But despite that ...

I did a bit of a search for different mods and came across the "Drake" mod in progress over at Chosen of Mystra. I'm not a member over there so couldn't post or PM the maker, Dragon Lord, so was wondering if anyone over here knew if the mod was still in production. I look a bit caster light so a ...

Just the ticket thanks, I can now suggest that the lovely Amber romances my grizzled gnome companion whose been watching over me ever since Gorion asked him to follow me on my first little adventures around Candlekeep.

Unfortunately the backstory I've written for the other two characters is man and ...

Doesnt say anything about it, so Im guessing not.

I'm sure I remember reading something about an NPC mod which would romance either Imoen or a second player created character. Maybe I was imagining it!

I've had a bit of a look on the mod list and my thinking is...

Kari the (half)Kobold, because Kobolds are ace even if druids aren't
Saerileth for romance and someone to wield the holy avenger
Auren Aseph if she is romancable by another player created character

I think I'll also install Yikari ...

The Bard is a blade though not elven. I'm sticking with that party, the question I was asking is of the many NPC mods available which do you think would be the best to add to that party both in terms of tactical flexibility and role play value, romances etc not what kind of characters do you think I ...

Bringing my BG:Tutu party to SoA and wondering about NPCs

Hey guys

I'm currently playing my way through BG1 as a means of avoiding revision and think that soon I'll be moving the party to BG2 and I'm wondering about installing some new NPC mods to try and get a bit more out of the game I've completed quite a few times now. I'd like some NPCs that add ...

Have been strolling around a bit in order to grab a few more levels before Nashkel. The blade is now easily the most powerful character, I just wish she learnt spells spontaneously like in DnD 3.5, finding scrolls is a pain. Still with mage armour, blur and mirror image she makes a better tank than ...

Just entered Beregost, flying through. My definite highlight so far has been offensive spinning an ogre with a belt fettish into the ground, nice.

Well Im all Tutu'd up and ready to roll! Installed when I got home earlier today. I'm planning on taking a couple of days off from work for the masters so I'll let you know how my first run goes, breaking news is that I've just left Candlekeep with the following party (I'll update with ability ...

Jordoo said it, got to love those druid spells without needing to take a druid, in BG2 this is gold, in 1 I'm not sure yet how useful it will be. Thanks for those level break-downs, looking pretty handy :) Blade would be the kit I'd use which I'd have thought would be ok in terms of balance so Tutu ...

Well that all sounds pretty good then, cheers. I don't mind the bard being the most powerful, I quite like bards, and anyway I'm pretty sure he'll be outshone by the time I reach ToB.

I go back home on thurs so will be able to install things then and look into Tutu a bit more. Does playing with ...

Planning yet another run through, BG1 -> ToB would like oppinions on party selection.

Hey guys, I thought I'd post this here as I have loads of experience with BG2 and know what works pretty well. In contrast I've only completed BG1 once and that was ages ago so I was hoping you could give me some input...

I thought for a change I'd go for a 3 man party...

Char 1: Half-elf Ranger ...
