According to these two sites:
TOGRC - Baldur's Gate 2: Items Listing
Mike's RPG Center - Baldur's Gate II - Mage Scrolls

they're both found in the maze beneath Spellhold.

I've made it all the way through with Nalia as the only thief without too much trouble. She's a good mage that has the added bonus that she can fire the Tuigan Bow in between spells. Just like Imoen but Nalia has a pretty cool ring. You'll need some potions some times but it's no real problem.

The only staves that spring to mind are the +4 staff that's on sale in Ribald's (sp?), and the Staff of the Ram.

Staff of the Woodlands and Staff of Arundel(sp?). Then There's the one that kills golems. Not sure what that one's called. Rod of Smiting perhaps? Probably useful to keep around as ...

QuenGalad wrote:(why by Io they thought it a druid weapon?)
Probably because someone at some point thought a sickle and a scimitar looked similar. Although the bit that cuts is on the other side on a sickle than it is on a scimitar. I think that's the real reason.

All the players need to install the mods in the same order too. If all that's taken care of I think you should be fine.

I have a party sitting in Saradush where my protagonist is a Cleric/Illusionist. He's in a party, though. However, I quite often have him going in to close combat against enemy mages. That Staff of the Magi is just about the ultimate weapon against mages. I do admit it's different in this case ...

Robe of Vecna, Staff of the Magi, Ring of Wizardry, Bracers AC 3, Ring of Gaxx, Cloak of Protection +2 a strength belt and Boots of speed and you're set aren't you? That's what I can think off. The Amulet of Power too.

Keep some weapons around that have a chance to auto-kill certain oponents. Like ...

This is really hard going. Why couldn`t I have stuck with my cleric/ranger? I`ve searched everywhere for a stoneskin spell. At least it`s taught me how much better the cleric spells are compared to those of a mage. Me and Jaheira are having a rough time. No more fighter/mage for me after this ...

I think it's worth making it in most cases. It's a very powerful weapon and there really isn't any other easy way to get that high a strenth. Except Black Razor I suppose...

But I also agree with Klorox: In some cases I'd probably rather have the two strength enhancing items than one.

Actually Aerie might be the thing. I've never really gotten far with a party without a thief though. So I thought about Imoen as well of course but I don't want her to dominate the party with her better mage spells. So Aerie being multiclassed might be just the right character to add... I'll ...

Party with lots of bards.

I want to do a party with three bards. My own blade, Haer'Dalis and Keto from a mod. I'll be changing her to a Skald though.

Now I prefer my parties small. Preferably 4 members. So who should I add? A cleric or druid? Or a character with thief skills? If there was a Cleric/Thief NPC I'd probably ...

You could also try having him use staves. I do it often when I use a F/M/T. There are some quite deadly ones available. Staff of the Magi for one. Any one equipped with that and capable of surviving close combat is a pretty ultimate mage-killer. Then when protections are gone you can eventually ...

Wizard Slayer get 1% every level and starting at 20th he gets 5% every other and still gets 1% at levels where he doesn't get 5%. It's all in you ToB manual. 84% at level 40 is correct.

How about a fighter of some sort dualled to thief at level 9. Take your pick. The Kensai or Wizard Slayer dualled to thief are quite cheesy IMO though.

But you get all the thief skills you'll ever need and it takes very little time to re-gain your fighter abilities. He will practically have a ...

The Scarlet Ninja-to is a really nice off-hand weapon and slightly better than Belm or Kundane. It's +3 instead of +2 and I think that means it will hit most enemies in the game. However it's only usable by monks. Not much point in having a monk use it. A really nice weapon for Haer'Dalis though ...
