im thinking about halberds because there are some really cool ones out there. ravager and Black mist but they are a tad slow. Katanas would be good too but the lacking of good magical katanas seem to bring down the odds to either halberds, long swords and bastard swords. any suggestions?

id say that the "new" ranger subkits are bad. who needs a stalker when there are many multi/dual/pure thives around? an archer gets killed as soon as he runs out of arrows and has no melee weapon in hand.
