Help!: Bug stops me completing Chapter 3

Hi

I've reached the end of Chapter three, but when I return to talk to Aarin Gend, he and my henchmen are engaged in a battle with one of the monks (good) and there is no way to stop them. Neither side does any damage and Aarin cannot be interrupted. All my patches are up to date. Please can ...

Similar issue

I have a similar issue. I have completed Luksan Tower, but when I return to talk to Aarin Gend, both he and my NPC are attacking one of the monks. I am unable to talk to them and therefore can't finish the chapter. Gutted. Please help before I go mad!
