On my next go-round, I may very well keep him as a fighter. Having him go monk was interesting for the RP and the quest stuff, but overall he's more effective as a pure fighter.
Not to say he doesn't kick a$$ as a monk... he just kicks more of it as a fighter.

Thanks - I'm sure there is. I was hoping to complete that quest and increase my influence with Neeshka. I'll keep poking away at it and see what I come up with.

Speaking of unfinishable quests...
Any recommendations as to how to finish this one, now that I'm in Act 3 Can't get back into Blacklake from the looks of it...

Influence with Grobnar (spoiler)
You can also have a long discussion at one point with Grobnar regarding the Wendersnaven and the instrument. If all goes well, you can seriously increase your influence with him.

Yes, you can go back...
I'm in Act III myself and just finished the process of reactivating the construct. Head out to the ruins in the North East - that's where the gem mine is. You'll find the item you need there. You'll need to bring a character with you, if you weren't already aware of that ...
