I think she was just being sarcastic when she said powergaming aces. 12 Cha is good for roleplaying which is what her mod is all about. Same for half-elves. Cha 6 means only one thing, she's ugly as hell.

And it is called powergaming. In case you failed to notice Domi is searching for ideas to improve her IWD2 NPC mod.

The best choice for favored enemy is goblins.

Goblins? Goblins are easy to kill. Why would you want a ranger to get bonus against a creature that most of the time dies with only one hit? Favored enemies should go to creatures that are found often in the game and are of medium to hard difficulty ...

Weapon Finesse with Small Blades and NG or LG alignment.
I used this build plenty of times. 12 Charisma is for Animal Empathy skill and because for roleplaying purposes half-elves are good looking. :)

Kresselack's items are not too much. Just some +1 items with some nifty description (this is going to change when my mod is released, he he!). The reload and try again tactics works best in Severed Hand due to small chambers. I would actually recommend it in Kaylessa's room, since you might get ...

Your list is not complete. Invisibility, improved invisibility, shadow monsters, demi-shadow monsters and shades are also good illusions spells the abjurer can't cast.

Invisibility? Take a thief. Once you get through the game once, those spells are obsolete. All the shadow monsters have less hp's ...

Krypton's question unveils one of the only downsides to the best CRPG series ever made (or at least that I've ever played).
No, only the downside to BG2 system. In BG1, with better accommodation comes better healing. Alternatively, you can turn off "rest until healed" option in BG2 options.

Oh, for God's sake, the problem is not what they can cast but what they cannot.
Illusionist:
L1: Protection from Evil
L2: Horror, Resist Fear
L3: Dispel Magic, Protection from Magic Missile, Skull Trap,
L4: Beltyn's Burning Blood, Minor Globe of Invulnerability, Spirit Armour
L6: Antimagic Shell ...

There is one reason to play with some of the features from Easy of Use mod on. For example, in the battle arena from the Ice temple, it can be very frustrating in MP, because one player fights in the arena (the best tank most likely) while the other sit a watch hoping he's going to win. Wit EoU you ...

Before the HoW add-on that was a cheesy tactic, to retreat and then rest so that you could kill her.
Just take it slow. Don't charge in her room. Send one person to start the battle, retreat him/her back to the others and then cast on the entrance spells like web, grease, entangle and mass spells ...

No, no. The idea is to start with characters of level 1, not with characters experienced and with tons of items. I'm from Romania, so you see that's a problem with the timeline.

Dispel works. Or you could retreat the non-confused characters far away and wait for confuse to wear off.
The only reason you got poisoned or confused in that area is because you stepped on a trap. There are plenty of those on that level.

No, haste is alteration. Meaning Transmuter spell. Abjuration are defensive spells like globes of invulnerability or some good all around spells like Dispel Magic or Resist Fear.

Playing with noobs in MP, can be very fun. Especially since you get to teach them various tricks. :D
But you better post the location, because you wouldn't want to play in the middle of the night when other people are in the middle of the day.

I disagree with Redrake. With HoW lllusionists are the best specialist mages imho.
Abjurers loose more than the alteration school.
You can easily live without skull trap, finger of death or death spell, abjuration spells aren't really that useful either, but haste is the best mage spell in the ...

Then why not take another level as a fighter so that you could put 3 proficency points into bows? For fighter/mage dual class, is usually better to make it at levels above 7. I do it at level 7 or 9 or most likely 13. At level 7 and 13 warriors get a extra 1/2 attack/round.
Dual-classing at level 2 ...
