I finished BG 1 and loved it so much I ran out and got Icewind Dale. I can't import my chacters. It gives me an Assertion failed in ObjCreature.cpp. Is this a common problem and is there a work around? I'll be sick if I can't continue with my old party.

Thanks for all your help guys! I found a scum bag named Tranzig in Beregost. I whoped him good and he showed me where the bandit camp was!

Im now in the city after clearing the mines.

I can't get into BG. The guard says the city is closed. I read a post where there should be some guy at the entrance that asks if I'm the one causing all the trouble. And if you say yes he will let you in. But I have been playing good characters and didn't see this person. Please help with some info ...
