I'm shocked, shocked, that you didn't mention the duck island. As you can imagine, the newspapers treated the matter with the seriousness and restraint for which they're so renowned.

Sword of the Stars, a lot.

And they've only gone and made a 4x space game with actual, tangible differences between the races (some of which are randomised) which means I no longer feel comfortable using my bog-standard ship naming system for everything. Although I'll forgive them for it since ...

I usually turn music of in PC games, at least after a while, since I tend to play a game solidly for a while and it usually gets repetitive. The main exception I can think of is Dominions 3 - it only has a few tracks, but they're very good and a change from the usual epic orchestral dross that goes ...

It happens. my first characters took months to get to 70, I can now do it in about a week. which possibly says more about my social life than about my mad skillz, but there you go.

I got a copy of Mount & Blade for not a lot of money, and I'm absolutely obsessed with it at the moment. It's not without its flaws, but it has some of the most unashamedly fun combat of any action rpg I can think of, as well as not having anything magical or any super-powerful player characters. A ...

Just got the new album by John Matthias, and I'm rather impressed. Apparently he's also a proper poet and everything. Here's one of my favourite songs.

The Quick Potato Poem by John Hegley

The spud sped.

well it amused me. John Hegley was on a comedy radio interview thing earlier this evening, and this is the one I can remember off the top of my head, all three syllables of it.

I'm a professional (using the word in its loosest possible sense) photo enhancer/restorer, so I'd be happy to take a look. it may well be a learning experience. bear in mind that the bigger the source image, the easier it is to work with.

looks like a decent monitor. I'm not sure if you already know, but bear in mind that LCD monitors aren't as good at working at resolutions other than the one they're designed for. the two in my house tend to slightly stretch the image so that you lose a little of each side of the screen. it's not ...

@Craig: not just that. I'm a general computer and printing bod, but I taught myself enough photoshop to cover enhancing and restoration as well.

I still enjoy playing about with photos though. with the help of a rather shoddy pocket tripod, I was able to make [url="http://img.photobucket.com ...
