If you "click" on your opponent you are just going to use your melee attacks. The "Staff of Power" or any other staff for that matter are NOT ranged weapons. In order to use the special abilities (i.e. fireball etc) you need to right click and activate the ability. I hope this helps.

yes, it's true. It was one of the things that makes this game so terrible. I'm pretty sure you can find many things about this on the web or even here on gamebanshee. It's best to stay low of level. Level once in a while until level 9 or so and then stop. Unless you want to make the game ...

From my experience (though it is a bit hard to tell in truth) the dmg reflect from ToE works much in the way that Paladins "thorns aura" worked in Diablo 2. You still take the damage, but it "feels" to me like you are only taking the 40%, of course that could be offset by the life leech as well ...

I find the life leech too small and I don't like to rely on something that requires me to be hit in the first place.

Although I do agree with your point here, you are inevitably going to get hit being a melee character so I think Trance of Empathy is your best bet still, if nothing else the 60 ...

And to answer your question, under the "use" option of the sword you should see something like "meditative restoration" or something like that. It is just like resting, but can be done in places where resting is not allowed. Although I do believe that you cannot do it in battle, so you might be ...

It has been awhile since I have played, but if you open the container, there should be a tab on the bottom that you can switch to which would be the "deposit tab". From there just click on the items you want to put in the container.

Like I said it has been awhile, but pretty sure it was that simple.

Isnt Carsomyr only useable by Paladins? Not sure how a F/M/T would even have the option to use it, unless I am missing something here...which I usually am

The funniest kill that came to mind was when I was playing an evil mage in
BG1, and I was essentially killing everyone that wasnt "game essential" just to see if I could. When I stumbled upon Cadderly outside of Candlekeep I figured he would be unkillable (ala Elminster) since I had read several ...

Specialist Build

I know awhile back we had a thread about the "Best Build" which more or less just got flooded with different (or many of the same) versions of a Ternion build. This isnt what I want to repeat.

I was hoping some people could contribute a couple of builds that are more specialized in "off the beaten ...

Most skills work whatever weapon you equip: staff, bow, sword, club, spear
Example: Earth Enchantment

Some only work on one type..example: blade honing doesn't work on bow because it has no blade (or staff). Marksmanship only works on bow. Ternion only works on staff.

A quick question please.

Forgive me if this has been answered before, but I searched a bit and found it hard to word out for the search engine.

Anyways, I was curious how damage types work with a bow? By that I mean the elemental, psionic and poison. Lets use "earth enchantment" for an example:

"Imbues your weapons and ...

Illusionist

I found that the Illusionist build had a lot of cross-over skills that I could take advantage of, and therefore I made this my first character. Being my 1st character I now have nearly 100 deaths, but it was a learning experience and fun.

1st I would like to say that the main poster here needs to learn a little humility and not tear someone apart for "trying" to help.

But as to your post...

I played a dual-wield ranger/assassin/rogue to level 18 taking mainly dex as an attribute, specializing in longswords, and taking mainly ...
