thanks for the replies, i got it figured out!!

i am soloing a pure cleric through the series, i am currently in durlags tower on the last level, i have come all this way for one reason, the staff of striking...now even with my cleric buffed up to 23 strength i can not open that chest!!! is there a way to do this without a theif or knock? if not ...

thanks for the replies...but never mind...i got bored really fast so i restarted and am now soloing a pure mage.....having alot of fun too since i am generally not a caster.....level 4 now and just beginning chapter two
