I love ranger/rogue. When I played through I took much more ranger than rogue - I think I was 14/6 at the end. My reasoning was as follows:
- The rogue class mainly gives you access to some good skills and skill points, but not a lot else. The backstab damage is not that great unless you take LOTS ...

Yes, absolutely. People that can summon sometimes use a low level familiar/pet/summon to the same effect.
I was totally pissed off with how easy the single-player game was, so I tried to make it more difficult by doing everything possible to slow down my XP gain:
1. Multiclassed so that I got an XP ...

Here are the 'facts' that I know of, based on my own experimenting with characters in the single-player campaign:
1. XP earned is based on the average character level of the party, including henchmen, summoned creatures, pets and familiars. This is compared to the challenge rating of the opponents ...

I suppose many, if not all, fantasy authors owe something to Tolkein. Stupid thing for me to say really because even D&D owes Tolkein a lot.
I suppose what I mean is that if someone did a LOTR mod then it wouldn't be too hard to take the same basic structure and modify it to be a different fantasy ...

I'd settle for a LOTR mod. Most of the stuff by Terry Brooks, Robert Jordan, Stephen Donaldson and others is based on LOTR anyway. Elfstones of Shannara had some original ideas, although I find it hard to get around Allanon (sp?) being so much like Gandalf. Hell, he even falls into a crevasse and ...

Morag Tong + Great Houses
I joined the Morag Tong and I want to do all the quests there.
I haven't joined a Great House yet and I was wondering if any of them conflict with the MT.
I'm leaning towards House Redoran. Hlaalu seem more stealthy like the Tong but then they also seem to be Imperial arse-kissers too. Telvanni ...

What about heavy flail? Anyone use that? It looks pretty cool in combat but it has worse stats than the greataxe, greatsword and halberd.
Also: morningstars. Anyone use them? I was quite dissapointed to find that I couldn't equip one in my off-hand for some reason. I thought that a character with a ...
