A kensai can do a lot of damage and have qite good ac. i had one with -10. ust make him dual 2 katanas and he will deal out 40 d(on high levels) per hit and he hit a lot with THAC0 down to -20 -30. think he is better than anny of the other combat classes
so give him a trie

go frue bg1 with a plain bard and use a party and then import it in to bg2 and chose a blade and go solo with him i think it is the most fun caracter to play but it's just me.

Btw if you are a beginer i would go with a fighter or paladin(berseker and inqister kits)

Btw if you dont want to replay from the begining use Shadow keeper to boost your stats (this i dont consider cheating)

i think you need at lest 17 in the primary stats for both the kensai(str and con) and the one you want to dual to ex mage (int) try that if it dosent work then i dont know

no only wepons and armor that are magical but if you have tob you can dual to a theif and when you get high lvl abilitis chose "use any item" and then you can use anything like rings and boots. And you get a little nice magi resistans

it must bee elven becuse mage multi/dual class can still cast spells wile wearing an elven chain mail

not elven mails but robes and i would recomend robes (robe of vanesa)

mayby some of the druid kits otherwise i belive everything ells has been soloed. this is becuse i think the are to hard (easier i tob du to the ex cap)

i sounds like a serius bug try using an erlier save gam it might help you have to waith for the pro's if it dosen't work.
if yuo have shadow keeper you kan edit the global varietes ( or somthing from there) the same thing tha clua do.

for umber hulks: use cloud kill. kills them instantly.
and for mind flayers: Speed!! kill them fast before the have a chanse to int drain you.And some pro aginst there hold spell might help.

F/M vs Monk isent realy fair. the monks only chans is qivering palm 1 hit = Dead F/M (stone skin dosent help here)

as she is a fighter i would go for short sword becuse she allready has slots in that. And make her grand master. And there are plenty pf good short sword out there. Plus it looks better if she is using a smal sword it looks funny if she is running aruond with a big sword. Leave that to the big guys.

you can export you party you have to use a save ( i think you can do that) but you should have all the eqipment. And if you play SOA to the finish after installing TOB . TOB will kick in ones you killer irenicus (or i beleive so)
