I'm having the same problem finding the dude in Skingrad that I need to see to buy Rosethorn Hall. The arrows finally lead me under the bridge to the castle, to a tree. No one there. I don't get it.

Maybe it stems from the same problem, so your answer could be mine as well. I'll check back here.

Horses are a pain in the neck for me. A lot of times, when I dismount to explore a ruin or fort, and try to squirrel my horse away some place safe, I'll return to find the thing dead. I hate having to babysit the thing and wonder whether I'll find it alive or dead when I return.

I think the Rosethorn purchase "quest" (if you call it that) is bugged for me, or something. I though I read somewhere that you needed 250,000 gold to buy it, so once I accumulated that amount, I activated the quest. It tells me to talk to some guy, but the "green arrow ...

When I faced her at around lvl 10, the way I finally beat her was to use a sword that had "disintegrate weapon" as a modifier. A few smacks with that, and she was fighting with her fists. I made pretty easy work of her after that.

I'm kind of partial to Alieyid ruins (or however the heck you spell it), on the off chance I'll find a Varla stone or two. Always makes the hunt worth while.
