I just finished Dragon's Eye after starting out with a level 1 party in HOF mode. Does anyone have any advice on the best time to go to HOW and TotL? My characters are all just shy of 10th level now. I long for a return to "White Plume Mountain", "The shrine of the Kua Toa" or "The Glacial Rift of the Frost Giant Jarl." Back when there were not 20 different kinds of fighters and 5 different kinds of elves.

Does anybody remember that first riddle in White Plume? Round she is yet ...

Why fix it? I think the new 3rd edition rules sound like a drag. I will take the good old first edition AD&D rules any day.

You speak the truth. I am on the last level of Dragon's Eye now and I am having a pretty difficult time of it. No more healing or amunition and no places to rest. I cannot remeber from my first time through the game on normal mode if there was a place to rest on the last level. I may have to retreat ...

I am playing through from the beginning in HoF mode. I started with 1st level characters. They are already 9th level and I am on the second level of dragon's eye. I have yet to fight a major boss and was wondering how hard they are in HoF mode?

HOF does effect turning. My 7th level cleric cannot turn skeletons.

Does anybody know when a cleric can start turning skeletons in HoF Mode?
