It could very well be your disks...if you msg me privately I might have a solution for you as it helped me as my friend had a similar problem like yours and my method worked...

I dont think whatever drive would matter I installed on various drives with each disk and there was no problem...

I assume you have done the reinstall / install / wipe clean method? If not give it a try...etc is disks are dirty all common sense stuff im sure you have done but ill post it just ...

Hey all I have a weird graphic error where some people will just have wacky white faces

I have tried to change all sort of graphic settings but no luck...I updated reinstalled and still nothing this is quite annoying any help would be ...

Hmmm under game options I dont have any writing about discs but at the top of the icewind dale file its like this\

oh and yes I have 2 cd-rom drives one that plays dvd-roms or whatever for new games and the old one that does not

When I try to leave Easthaven for the first time with Hrothgar the game either will freeze and I have to alt f4 or sometimes turn off my computer

or the game will say in a blue screen

"Icewind Dale error media removed from Drive...Please insert Icewindale CD2 in cd-rom drive"

My cd2 is allready ...
