Old game on Vista

Hi,

One of my favourite games ever is an old one called Mordor: The Depths of Dejenol, made back in 1995. I'm running it on XP and have no problems, but I gave a friend a copy and he is trying to run it on Vista, with little success. The game installs and starts, but then refuses to take any ...

Interesting, thanks for that.

I didn't solve my problem in the end, I just went back to an earlier save. Interesting though that there doesn't seem to be a way out of Durlag's bedroom if you let the doors re-set. A devious trap for the unwary.

How does one go about teleporting?

And thanks for the wardstone advice, but I already tried that. The stone that opens the relevant door worked once, but won't work again. The other wardstones open doors elsewhere on the level, but not in the room I'm in.

I do, but like an idiot I was relying on quick saving, and of course I quicksaved before sleeping. My other save is from about eight hours earlier, real time. I suppose I'll have to cop it and go back to that one.

Durlag's Tower problem

I'm stuck on level 2 of Durlag's Tower - the place with all the locked doors. I went into the bedroom and killed the doppelganger, opening the passage to the statue room. However, I then slept and all the doors closed. Now I can't get *any* doors to open, effectively trapping me in the bedroom with ...

Schematics problem

I've reached 100 on the technological aptitude meter, but despite that I am unable to make any of the items I've learned through schematics (except the Iron Clan key). Am I missing something obvious?

Also, 50 seems to be the maximum level one can reach. Do my companions continue gaining levels ...

Strangely, I've now encountered a new problem. My alignment reached 100, and now Virgil refuses to follow me. He says I'm too "self-righteous" for him.

[quote="Ishara"]Yes, they do! Sogg got upset all of a sudden when I picked a lock, even though I'd done it before without him saying anything! And Jormund gets angry at me when I kill the barbarians at one of the temples, even though they're trying to kill me!QUOTE]

Yup. And now, for no apparent ...

I've got a dwarven technologist, expertise in healing technology and explosives. Do you find that your followers get offended by the strangest things? Sogg keeps getting upset when I kill kites.

I have the exact same problem. Sogg's disposition has dropped to 18, and he just decided to walk away after I killed the wolves in Wolf's Cave. Virgil and Magnus both regard me with suspicion. I haven't hit them in battle, and my charisma is 13 and hasn't dropped at any point. Could it be a bug of ...
