SC2 is fantastic, I think you can download a version call The Ur-Quan Masters (since Star Control 2 was trademarked). Its worth playing today. Great ship advancement, immersive story and addictive starship combat.

I just purchased it from ebay and printed the .pdf manual from replacement docs. The game seems to have tremendous style and character and should fill in the gaps nicely between replaying BG2 and watching Babylon 5 episodes

Well, I'm playing the game without keyboard but pausing with the mouse is a pain and autopause sucks. Seems like this is a pervasive problems with some laptops still can't find a fix on any boards....

Hmmm, I'm considering buying this game after purusing some of the gamespot reader reviews. I am having trouble enjoying the newest generation of zero substance and flashy vistas of our contempory games. I'm looking for an old school immersive rpg poor graphics just expand room for the imagination ...
