Keyboard not working

Just bought this game yesterday for some retro gaming goodness.These older games are just so much cooler than the eye candy but no gamepla games of today. But I need some solution or a patch. Running Dell Laptop Latitute 610 Windows XP My keyboard does not work with IWD2. I can type in character names with repeated key strokes and pause spacebar does not respond. Its killing this great game for me. I've tried reinstall and patches no dice!

I do...but I'm not sure how to help! I'm guessing you've already checked that it's compatible (to be honest...I don't know if it CAN'T be compatible!). If your keyboard weren't plugged in properly, you'd have the problem everywhere...and judging by the fact that you probably typed your posts, that's unlikely!

Hmmm

Well, I'm playing the game without keyboard but pausing with the mouse is a pain and autopause sucks. Seems like this is a pervasive problems with some laptops still can't find a fix on any boards....
