I had read the BG books, but I agree that Salvatore is one of the best, just wondering if anybody's read Weis and Hickman's Death Gate cycle or James Silke's Death Dealer series?

so, ( and I never really thought about it) all traps on floors, chests, etc. are spells? except for spikes, arrows. Is that right?

Well, to any body concerned, my 4 mage party rapidly got another member added, I did pretty good in the dungeon until I had to pick a trapped chest for a statue, So I added a human,female swashbuckler with Branwen's portrait, and named her Hot Thing. She'll keep my mages warm on those cold dungeon ...

I cast web if I'm not in a city, if I'm in a city and don't want the cowled wizards to show up, I bait them with my main character who wears the boots of speed.
