Witcher 2

The Witcher official website has posted a link to a supposed "leaked" internal company demo of Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings on YouTube. Although there are tons of "Witcher 2" videos on YouTube, until this point they were all from the canceled console version "Rise of the White Wolf".

This seems to ...

In special attack modes you won't see the blade in Geralt's hand change visually or see the monster burst into flames. Instead, the red numbers that scroll up from each hit will increase in damage amount.

This is in medium difficulty. I've never played it at the hard level, so I don't know if there ...

The system requirements don't look to be a problem, but I'm leery of what it will take to actually run the game.

I've avoided EA games ever since I made the mistake of shelling out money for one of their LOTR games.

Since it's Bioware, I'm assuming that it won't require disabling all software ...

Most special attacks are automatic.

However, some require holding down the right mouse button to "power up" and they generally have prerequisite skills that go along with them. When you spend an experience point to obtain a special attack skill, it is explained in the pop-up button on selection.

Getting the other rituals to work requires obtaining skills under Intelligence.

Once you have Knowledge of Cleansing Ritual, clicking the place of power will reduce your toxicity level from potions to zero.

Once you have the Knowledge of Life Ritual, it will restore your hit points.

Unless you spend an experience point for the Ingredient Extraction skill under Intelligence, picking up items from monsters is purely random. Sometimes you'll get a body part, sometimes you won't. Even if you have that item listed in your knowledge inventory.

There are a couple of tricks to getting Geralt to keep his weapon drawn for longer periods, although you can't have him walking around constantly with a naked sword.

As long as his medallion indicates that there are enemies in proximity, he will hold his weapon when you draw it. So, for high ...

From what I've seen on the official website and other forums, the console version of the game (Rise of the White Wolf) has been morted. CD Projeckt is playing it close to vest on what's coming and will only say that they have a major announcement planned for later this year on the future of The ...

Light of Heaven (spoiler?)

For some reason, I can't get LOH to appear in the Merchant Quarter. She was right on schedule at Port Llast, but is nowhere to be found in Neverwinter. Do I need a specific party make-up to get her or is this one for the DebugMode?

Well . . . as someone else said, whether or not it's a waste of money is pretty much up to you. I've played just about every D&D type RPG I could find going all the way back to the ancient DOS versions and I've found that the NWN series are just buggy as all get out. Reminds me of the frustrations ...

SOU - Missing Quest Swords

In the elven crypt I've found the corpse that is supposed to have the sword that the ghost wants, but there is nothing there to pick up. I disabled the trap that was under it before examining the skeleton. Does the trap have to be triggered for the sword to appear?

Also, the Holy Avenger isn't on ...
