At the risk of sounding ignorant.... ahh, where precisely do i type in the code? - DO i download a particular hack program or something?

Ive tried to substitute in other numbers without any real success, (I created a new game and looked at those numbers), and the only thing that seems to happen is the game has a far higher chance of crashing, so ive just moved on with the game.... and dropped Jahiera (presumabely forever ...

Ahh..... and after reading through the histories of a number of forums i think i know my problem....
when you return that Renfold(?) guy to the harpers is he supposed to be dead? - The one you rescue during a not so random encounter.

Has anyone had trouble with Jahiera's quest simply not occouring?
