This sounds like an IP conflict. Check your router to make sure it is set to use DHCP and you have to give it a IP range so it will assign your PCs with IP addresses. Check your router's manual for that.

Current I have a SiS 32MB on-board card. It is alright but not good for 3D games. I am looking for a decent video card at price range no more than $150. Should I get AGP or PCI? What brand? I have PIII 1GH, 512 RAM PC.

my friend has an AMD K6. the game will freeze on him every couple of minutes. don't know. since we have another player who has issues playing DS with AMD chip set, there could be something.

Yes, great hack and slash game. I normally don't like 3D games but DS is a good game. Controls are easy to master.

The only thing that annoys me is the spell casting. Only 2 active spells at a time.

I have the same exact error at the beginning, but it always happens after I created my character and start loading the world it will crash on me. I uninstalled and reinstalled, same thing. Then I uninstalled again, reboot the computer, install the game and reboot again. Now it works fine. Try that.

I have seen something similar at my friend's pc. He has a Viper card with 32 MB. His game will consistently freeze on him without any error message. It just frozen, can't do anything. I think there are compatability issues with certain video cards.
