only 8 charges...doesnt seem that useful to me...

kno if any monsters resist it? it says no save tho, so probably not
ya it doesn't do enough damage, magic resistance will block it i think, it's nice it has no save though

its a little more useful in bgi where the baddies aren't so tough imo, you use your char's bag/item icon and select it, then aim at a target with the magic pointer, the target will get zapped like a ag's scorcher, 1 shot uses one charge, the ring will come with a fair number of charges

another easy to overlook spell that is really powerful early in the game is blindness, the baddies just stand around while you fill their posteriors with darts or whatever missiles, later on chromatic orb is even better, bread and butter strategy for soloing a mage thru ToSC

you can get another set of r dragon scales from the red dragon in the improved small teeth pass, i think saladrax only drops the staff of the ram and maybe some other basic loot, no scales, right?

I always get the same bug w improved Kangaxx, and so I have Tashia shapechange flayer and brain-drain him, heh, one of the sweet uses for that spell... I wait until after the dialogue where he used to turn into a demilich skull for what its worth.

And Chloe with Cheese's Edge is an absolute monster ...

What items?

It they are cursed, you'll need a "remove curse" scroll to have them dropped from your character. The scroll sales lady in the back of Adventure mart has some for sure. You can also use Shadowkeeper and remove it from there.

Doh! Fell for an old one, even a slowball over the plate, heh, wishful thinking on my part. I didn't have my 'find traps' on. I figured if Von Dondu is saying it, there must be something to it... but I wasn't thinking it to be a Republican campaigne... ;)

the terrasque?!?

@ VonDondu: The terrasque (which can be found in a hidden part of the game) has over 1000 hit points

Really? Could you post a spoiler of how to find the hidden part? I'd LOVE to face this beast, I didn't know it existed in BGII... I mean it'd be the stuff of legends (right Boo ...

Seems like some fun role play restrictions, for BG to be PnP-ish. I end up restricting how many potions of healing we pick up, leaving them (and other loot) in the streets for the common folk or whatever. You end up with TONS of them from tactics (as so many well equipped baddies go after your party ...

Excellent! It's worthwhile to have Mazzy in the party just for that story (and with how annoyed she gets with him). It's nay too hard to see why its hard to adventure without Jan Jakobar...

Another funny story for Jan when he tells about his year spent as a god, had accidently during the time of ...

@ Galuf,

Right, one time waaay back... I remember Jan making a reply to Dradeel when Haer dails and Minsc were in the party and Jan made the reply to Dradeel saying "you've the rank smell of Golodon the Unmanned" that he knew him from somewhere and Haer dalis made the reply which flustered poor Jan ...

lots of fun statements in spellhold

At Spellhold, if you have Jan and Haerry, after Dradeel says "you've the rank smell of Golodon the unmanned, *astard!, which is funny since Jan says "you smell like Golodon" and has stories about the stinking cloud effects of Golodon's foot (instead of Bigby's ...

autobuff alacrity exploit, has anyone noticed this?

So there have been some times when I used the ever-so-helpful Sola autobuff script just before a fight and rush into a new room after that, if the timing is right (I have autopause spell cast on, and you have to pause as soon as you get into the new room) the casters are able to get alacrity, even ...

It looks like Angurvadal, the flaming longsword from Watchers Keep (+4 when found in L4 and upgradable to +5 in ToB), would be perfect for your character.

And, unless your game is nerfed, don't forget to pick up multiple assassinate HLAs (to hack like mad while improved hasted ...
