A demi-lich like kangaxx is immune to all 9th level spells and lower.
Theoreticly Dragon's breath is of the 10th or quest level spells but it occupies a 9th level spell slot.
Someone needs to verify if Dragon's Breath really works.

But then again...waiting until you get dragon's breath is not that ...

The character in front will talk,regrdless if it's the protagonist. Just let your frontliner have a good charisma. Some dialogue needs the protagonist but not that much.

there are solotions to the hiding part in your post. like potions of invisibility or walking around a corner and then hide ...

It all comes down to persnal taste so every character qualifies. In terms of powergaming there are imho just a few options like Sorceror,kensai/mage,kensai/thief,berserker or Ranger/Cleric

Melissan is quite some opponent...some dragon abilities,high level mage abilities as well as 5 attacks per round...

I found Abazigal actually the easiest of the Five.Why?
I lured the human form in with some summons and killed it of with a greater whirlwind warrior from behind.When he changed into the dragon I moved my sorceror,equipped with the right stuff like Amulet of power and Robe of Vecna into range:

Oh..and try to get her to change alignment before she gets her holy symbol...I got stuck with the evil symbol while Viconia changed to neutral...*sigh*

Draconis is imho tougher than abazigal and it is indeed a tough fight but still quite easy. The whole trick is in using your strengths.
For mages...use your spell triggers and sequencers.(3 lower resistance or breach,pierce magic,greater malison...there so many ideas here...) use your special ...

Don't forget that a Inquisitor can use his dispel magic quite effectively on a enemy mage. dispel magic has a % chance to dispel any protection but with a great dependancy on trhe difference between caster and victim but as an inquisitor casts as 3* his level...you get the point...

Minsc

Minsc's Rage ability is awesome. Every time I see a Kangaxx,elder orb or so cast imprisinoment on him I quickly send him in 'berserker' mode and voila....no effect. works quite handy against various things..

Something similar happened to me in chapter 3. Aran Linvail told me to meet up with a mage and golem to clear out the vampires nest. they never appeared.I had to restore to the beginning of chapter 3 and play some quests again before al was as it supposed to be.

Tob is installed,the baldurdash fixes are installed. And I do not want to play clerics as my character because I hate them. Never could fit them into my playstyle even with a BROAD perspective as I have....I do tolerate Viconia by the way...for other obvious reasons

First time around I (power)played the game with my human sorceror ,viconia,imoen/nalia,keldorn,minsc and Valgyar (incredibly powerful with celestial fury backstab and cloak of non detection.played almost solo with him in this party)

Now I want to try the followong:
1) evil party
2) install all ...

What happens when I increase the difficulty in the game with the difficulty slider? Does the XP gained per monster,HP and abilities increase?

Aside from my "normal dislike" of this class I ponder the usefullness of the Cleric. In all the games I played I took Viconia with me just because I wanted a cleric with me for party balance. The only real use of her was her ability to summon the undead. I didn't use the healing (lots of potions ...

I changed from Window 98 to Windows XP a few months ago and I haven't run in to any problem yet with Baldur's gate on XP

Let's assume a 6 player party(2F 1T 1C 2M) with intention to do all major and most minor quests.

How fast will I level up and when (if possible) will I reach the SOA cap? Same questions for ToB

How do earned proficiency dots for dual classed characters work. for example I have a fighter (lvl9
) dualled to a mage (lvl 10) and both classes are active. Can I still assign dots until the max of 5 is reached(fighter max) or just 1 (mage max) ?
