I was wondering if there was some way to edit the content of this game, in particular, missing items.

I got to the section in the catacombs where the prison key is required and after going to all three levels of the catacombs and not being able to find it, I used the walkthrough on this site ...

I'm now in the lower keep. I still have several doors I can't find the keys for in the first and second cellar. I don't like leaving things incomplete but I'm hoping some of those keys can be found in the lower keep? Or am I just kidding myself and each level can be completed on its own without ...

I've picked up a few books/ gems that have power for certain classes but I can't seem to equip these items. Anyone know how to? or just having them in the inventory is enough?

And if it helps your conscience: a) keep in mind that lawful good Emmeric and his self-worth issues would be happy to make such a sacrifice for the greater good, and b) you can justify that at some point after the game ends, all such spells just might become null and void, freeing him in any case ...

hmmmm....I'd hate to go back into that dungeon but my neurosis keeps me from enjoying the fresh air. I've gotta go back and complete all of those quests!

You'll set up the chance to learn the Splashing Word as part of the same quest you need to complete to get the dwarf ghost to speak with you. (Hint: look for a fountain, either outdoors or back in the dungeon .)

actually, I found out it's different with Windows 7. Windows 7 puts your saved games in a completely different folder (wish there would have been some forewarning) so even if you do a complete reinstall without saving any files you'll be fine. thanks for the response though.

recently my game has started blinking incessantly for no reason. I want to reinstall it but when I went through all the folder in the SSI folder, there was none! I know it has to be there because I save whenever I play and start from the area I last finished at.

anyone else have this problem?

actually it's not something you have to live with! I had some trouble loading this for windows 7 and talked with arkangyl through email who was extremely helpful and patient with me. Here's how to do it:

tried it out unfortunately it doesn't work. I guess it isn't so bad. I mean, it is slow, but I enjoy the graphics so it shouldn't be so bad. Just it takes SOOO long to get a level!
