Honestly, I don't understand what all the craze is about PST story compared to other games. Yeah, its got some interesting twists and things, but nothing earth shattering.

Yep, as far as I understood he's just telling you about the epic battle within the Multiverse between the forces of destruction and creation, between order and chaos.

It serves no other purpose than giving you some background info on all those conflicting interests and entities in the Multiverse.
