To clarify:

In simple terms, yes, pretty much that - however, not through a third party application such as AIM, more of through shared folders and so forth.

An octet is essentially a fourth of an IP address (called an octet because each part is made out of eight bits) - I just want to be sure ...

Thanks guys for the replies. And just to clear something up(I looked at my pervious post and found it to me somewhat misleading.) When we played multiplayer a long time ago, we were both on PCs.

Wow that was absolutely awesome. I very much so evny your skills. Though I would disagree about BG2's theme song being the best, Icewind Dale's Kuldahar song just blows me away every time. I know it's not the 'theme' song, but it will always be number one in my book.
