Apparently, Baldurdash comes in a Mac version. So you can find it here .
One annoying thing, though, there is only Baldurdash for SoA not ToB listed for the Mac, So I presume I won't be able to install ToB over the top of SoA if I've applied the SoA Baldurdash?
Provided you're willing to forego some good thief armor while spellcasting.
But you don't really need to wear armour as a swashbuckler/mage as you get good AC bonuses anyway (as good as or better than Kensai anyway)

I agree, though one limitation of halflings in BG2 is that some of the female characters are racist as far as the romances go:

Finally more than 16 constition won't make any difference to any class other than a fighter.
Being pedantic, this is not entirely true - Dwarfs and Halflings receive a bonus to saves vs. Magic & Poison (Gnomes receive a bonus just to saves vs. Magic) based on Con . With ...
It is wrong for elves to steal and kill people for money,it is not in their nature and just wrong.

Yeah, but if that bothers you you could think of some background story that would explain why your elf character has taken that path...
Are you sure halflings get those bonuses? It's been a while since I played it, but I don't remember all the benefits. I would say elven has more options as you listed and any skill bonuses can easily be recouped as you level up. If halflings can also choose 19 DEX then I suppose it ...

I think a better dual class mage combo (espc. if soloing) is swashbuckler/mage - you get good AC and To hit bonuses *and* thief skills (no backstab, though)

This is somewhat of a semi-bard, being able to use any weapon and still cast spells, though I believe this one can become stronger. I've not used one to get myself through the game though, but I think it can be pretty fun to play one. :)
Can an assasin poison sling shot?

Can an assassin poision sling shot? Am wondering, as am considering using a halfling assasin in my next game of BG and halflings get +1 in slings (and thrown weapons - darts would actually be good for an assasin too, as you could throw 3 poisoned darts in a round...)
If you were soloing a Fighter/Assassin would be more useful as it covers more roles but seeing as the character is going to be in a party I would go single-class. Elven Assassin to get the 19 DEX.

Hi - I know that BG II works under Mac OS X, but I don't think BG runs under OS X, however does anyone know if it'll run in "Classic" mode? Thanks

Thanks, this looks useful! :D

Does anyone know if any of the bugs in the PC version got fixed in the Mac version? If not, is there anything like Baldurdash for the Mac?
