Yeah that's why I got the shield of Balduran......the -4 AC bonus isn't too shabby either.
It would be pretty cool, if in BG3, there were scattered pieces of equipment with some insane legend behind them, and if you assembled them, say a sword/axe, shield, helmet, cloak, armor, boots, gauntlets ...
