Post by Claudius »

Does anybody know where I can receive training in....

knockdown
double blade

multi arrow

Does anybody know where I can purchase Necromancy cards?
(I know you can get from a guy in return for 'taint')
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.

Thank you SWCarter. This gives me some clue. I looked for a map to orient me as to where the places are. A map of the land. Does gamebanshee have one. I couldn't find it at the site, but maybe I just missed it.

We didn't include a world map in the subsite. However, you should have an in-game map, and I was under the impression that the game was supposed to come with a paper map, but maybe that was just the collector's edition.

Edit: Ok, I added a map to the subsite. You can see it here.

Thanks swcarter. I was able to match up the shapes in the enlarged map of each city to the appearance of my in game minimap. I appreciate your assistance.

Edit: oh wow, didn't see your edit. good work. I'll check your map out a little later.

I found a cheesy strategy. Spend some of your first skill points in sneak after visiting the mage to get a teleporter activator. No sneak past your enemies once you have about 1000 gold. Now visit the outpost, Thabarkin, the hidden camp, Covengor, the stable. Its pretty hard to sneak bye so save and if enemies come drop your weapon and run fast and hopefully you won't pick up more pursuit.

The reason is that cost of training scales with level. So if you are level 15 when you enter Thabarkin it will cost 1000 (later 10000) to train in magic. But at level 5 everything costs 100. So it might save some serious cash (you may be paying 300 because you'll need to kill more things to raise money for all that skills, but you can get several for 100 at least).
