What's a more important immunity: Mind Affecting or Critical Hits?

Post by Klorox »

I'm planning out a character who will have level 2 Implants and I'm trying to decide which Implant is more important.

If you're using Force Resistance/Immunity, then I would forego the mind-affecting one--especially given your character's high values. If you're not using FR/I, then at some point you're going to run into some high level bosses who really love them some mind powers, and that stuff can badly mess you up worse than a crit while wearing good armor.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

My suggestion is to use the implant with immunity to critical hits. There are certain belts you can find in the game that have immunity to mind affecting.

Why not use, say, implants or whatever with both? Switch them whenever you expect to run into enemies who use mental attacks in some way. In straight-up melee, use the implant with immunity to critical.
I guess it also depends about class in a way. Sentinels have some immunities against what sometimes could be mental attacks, like fear.
