Sorry if this is a bit old, but I have searched everywhere.
I started the game as a mage and have now become and adept/celestial.
The games doesn't seem to let me into the mages guild. i have no other active classes. When talking to Alestier, he doesnt give me any join options. I have just worked my way down to Skuldoon to see if I could just pick uo the 2nd quest from Ferus Duul, but I cant. Any helo would be nice
Help with Mages Guild
did you join the sisterhood?
did you take an eastern house mage thing?
If not you should be able to talk to Aleister in Fargrove about joining...
btw I forget what celestial is? Is that the adept path?? goes to stargazer?

Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.
When talking to a guildmaster, it's possible for you to say that you're not interested in the guild, and that they should never bring it up again. If you said that to Aleister, then you might be stuck. But to be sure you should go through all of the dialogue options with him again and see if anything comes up.
If you are stuck, and if you don't (or can't) revert back to an earlier save to correct the problem, then you might want to check out the saved game editor. There's a stickied thread for it in this forum.

Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."
