ridiculously unorganized journal help(spoliers)

i cannot find the piece where the guy in ulgorth's beard wants me to steal something from baldur's gate so can someone tell me what to do there?

I'm not 100% sure of course, but I assume you're talking about Mendas who wants you to acquire some sea charts.

Can´t recommend using the journal in most games. They´re usually too confusing. I prefer to use walkthroughs instead, even though some might see that as sort of cheating.
