Does Vista work with IWD 2 multiplayer?

This might be a really obvious question, but does Vista work with multiplayer? It works perfectly in single player, but trying to join or even host a multiplayer game makes the game crash to the desktop and sit in the taskbar doing nothing. It's patched to 2.1, default resolution, etc.

Giving this thread a bump since Im also having the same problem. Both with and without patch, no matter what settings in configuration.

Hope someone has found a workaround

Well a simple solution is simply play it in a window, and ta-da: multiplayer works fine.
