spell casting armors

ok i no the elven chain offers that service but is there any other armor beside elven chain, elven chain +1, bladesinger +4, and sylvan chain +2, i can wear and still maintain the spell casting ability?

There's Jan's Armor, Aslyferund Elven Chain +5 as well as the Robe of Vecna.

There is an Elven Chain available early on as well as the Melodic Chain +3.

Of course you can cast spells wearing Jester's chain. Any armor that can be used by Bards only allows spellcasting. Melodic chain too. Of course, only a T/M multi or dualclass can wear those armors while casting arcane spells, and only with UAI. And another thing: in the vanilla game, it's best not to spend your tokens on the Jester's chain, but go for 2 pairs of boots instead(Speed and Boots of the North)

The other noteworthy chain you can wear is the Drow Elven Chain, available in Underdark only. But in fact, when it comes to spellcasting, the best option is the Robe of Vecna. Armor Class is irrelevant, since your spellcaster can always use the Spirit Armor spell, not only for the AC bonus, but also for the vs spell saving throw bonus. The Spirit Armor spell sets AC to equal value as the Bladesinger's or Jester's chain. And if you picked an Illusionist, then use Ghost armor instead.

If your caster needs some protection in a Dead Magic zone, the best armor you can use is Jansen's Adventurewear(again, with UAI only).

If your caster needs additional saving throw bonus, use one of the powerful Mage robes(of the good/neutral/evil archmage)

The Jester's Chain disables your spells when you equip it, as any normal chain would do.

well, that's unfortunate. since u no jester's chain offers a very very good ac as a chain mail and it looks SUPER cool. it's the only armor that makes ur character SHINE and i mean SHINE. too bad, gonna stick with the elven chain +1 for now.

my pc is a fighter/mage so no melodic chain even though it's really good.

btw what is the Aslyferund Elven Chain +5 u mentioned? it's name sounds really cool but i don't what it is.

it's the bladesinger +4 upgraded in ToB
