Question about Stealth Generators.

Post by Darth Malignus »

There´s of course the ordinary Stealth Generator. But what about the other "better" belts? Do they count as Stealth Generators as well? I´m asking, since I haven´t been able to use any of those belts, when trying to enter Stealth with Mission. I just can´t. Are there any other items in the game that passes as Stealth Generators, besides the belt version? I´m thinking about items like wristbands, armor or headgear? I haven´t been able to find anything so far.

I know that in the second game if you have a belt that gives a bonus to stealth you can use stealth provided you have one point in the skill area.

The first game however you have to use the stealth field generator. I've also tried belts that increase stealth and the first game doesn't count it. The only other one that the game counts is the sound dampening stealth unit, but you can wear that and have it work with zero points invested in stealth.

Sorry for being vague, by first game I meant Star Wars KOTOR 1. Second game is Star Wars KOTOR 2.

I see. So the belts with a + to Stealth won´t allow you to enter stealth? Am I correct?

Of course they will. You can't enter Stealth without a belt (except for Juhani).

Well, could you tell Mission that? She flat out refuses to enter stealth when wearing items like this:
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic @ GameBanshee

Yeah sure. What's her number again?

Yeah it's rather strange. If it specifically says that it allows a player to go into stealth mode then you can wear it and use stealth. The only ones that specifically say a player can be in stealth mode is the Stealth Field Generator.

From what I've seen on the belts that give bonuses to stealth, they do not say anything about allowing a player to actually go into stealth. So the ones that give a + to stealth don't actually do anything and are completely useless (unless they give other + bonuses to other skills)
